I purchased 6 months' flea protection for my cat. I opened 2 of them to apply to my cat; they were empty.
I checked the rest by shaking and holding them up to the light. They were all empty. I returned it to the store I purchased it from without my receipt. They said no, I had to show proof of purchase.
It was on a credit card, so I easily found my proof of purchase and transaction number.
They went to look and came back and said, 'Sorry, that doesn't prove anything.' I would think if they punched in the transaction number, it would show an itemized list for that number. So basically, they sold me a display item and will not do anything about it.

This store has really gone downhill. Staff are rude and not very professional.
I actually had the manager laugh in my face when I said I would escalate my issue and then walked away from me without a word when I said that I hadn't meant with the company but as a review. My two girls were supposed to be groomed today and the issues started as soon as I hit the door. The groomers came out and told me my elder dog was matted and I needed to pay for additional dematting. This is a hairless dog with a mane and it was a simple snarl like we all get in our hair; it was nowhere close to the skin or anything.
I told her to let me know if it didn't brush out and I would consider it and left them there, only to get a call five minutes later stating they both had fleas. My dogs were just to the vet three days prior! I believe my vet before anyone else. When I got there, they said there was one flea spotted on my youngest dog.
I am super doubtful for several reasons: one is the recent vet visit, the other is fleas are not very common in winter in Michigan, how do I know it didn't just jump on her from another dog, and the last is they said there were flea droppings on my elder who is hairless. It would be super hard to not see that on her. They then proceeded to tell me they would have treated them but couldn't because there was a pregnant groomer in the salon and couldn't be around flea shampoo. After I offered several solutions to get them finished, with each being blocked like it was me or something, I finally left.
This is a groomers; you have to be kidding me. Meanwhile, I was given my dogs back, one of which was half-shaved! I truly think it was due to me calling the groomer out on the dematting charge for a snarl on a hairless dog. The only hair she has is a mane on her head, longer hair on her paws, and a tail.
Everywhere else, she is bald. I am totally disgusted with this store and will never be returning.

I sent a product complaint regarding two jugs of tidy cat that I had purchased from PetSmart in Yakima Washington. I provided pictures.
I provided a detailed description of what I experienced. The issue was when I opened both of the containers there was condensation or wetness.
I have no idea what the liquid was, but the litter inside the containers that I purchased appeared to have already been used and I paid for unusable product. I submitted this complaint a long while back probably eight months would be my guess and no follow up from the company not tidy CAT or PetSmart no refund nothing I think this is unacceptable !

Hello,
I brought my 3-year-old Shih Tzu named King in for grooming today at your PetSmart location (6275 University Dr NW, Suite 35, Huntsville, AL 35806). His appointment was at 12:30 PM, and he weighs around 20 pounds.
After the grooming, I noticed some redness and pink tissue around the inner corner of his eye (photo attached).
This wasn't there before the appointment. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but I'm concerned it could be a reaction to grooming products or from clippers near the eye.
Could someone please let me know if this might have happened during grooming or if I should follow up with a vet?

I am at your Dubuque, Iowa store. It has just been reblacktopped and striped.
Looks great. But your striping company only made the crosshatch for the wheelchair van accessible spaces 4 feet wide. Federal ADA and the State of Iowa require an 8-foot width. There needs to be 4 feet for a van's ramp to lower from the side and then another 4 feet for the wheelchair to roll off the end of the ramp.
As a national retailer, you should know this, and it should be part of your work order directions to your striping company.
And they should already know this. I will be submitting a complaint to the City of Dubuque.

I am writing this letter to file a formal complaint regarding a deeply upsetting experience I had at your PetSmart location in , Gainesville , Virginia].
I have been a loyal PetSmart customer for over two years, bringing my Samoyed dog every two weeks for grooming services, including a full wash, brush, and drying. Until this recent experience, I had always been satisfied with your service.
However, during my most recent visit to this new location, I encountered unprofessional and disrespectful behavior that left me not only shocked but deeply hurt.
After more than two and a half hours, I received a phone call from the staff informing me that they could not complete the service because my dog was aggressive and tried to bite them. This was highly surprising to me, as my dog has never exhibited such behavior in previous visits.
When I arrived to pick up my dog, I was shocked to find him soaking wetwater was dripping from his fur. Clearly, the grooming was not completed, and no effort had been made to dry him. When I politely asked why he was still wet, the manager on duty responded with an extremely rude and disrespectful tone, dismissing my concerns entirely.
The way she spoke to me was humiliating and completely unacceptable for any professional environment.
To make matters worse, my two young children were with me during this incident. They witnessed the way I was spoken to and were visibly frightened by the tension and disrespect. This experience has affected them emotionally, and I find it completely unacceptable that a trusted business would treat a paying customer in this manner.
This is not just about an incomplete serviceits about the violation of respect and dignity.
I take this very seriously and am considering filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other consumer protection channels if this matter is not properly addressed.
I kindly request that this issue be investigated immediately. I expect an apology for the poor handling of this situation, as well as assurance that necessary action will be taken to prevent such behavior from occurring againtoward myself or any other customer.

- - Patrick was groomed for four hours at Levittown Petsmart.

I took Patrick to get groomed in September at 2 PM. I normally go to Jessica, and she is awesome, but she had told me that she is on a weight restriction.
So she told me to go with Elizabeth, who does a great job. Well, Patrick was in the salon for four hours; I paid almost $100 for it, plus a $20 tip given to Elizabeth for her to do just not a good job at all. I have photos of the problem that I had. She did not shave down his paw hair.
They were so long, and it looked like she didn't even try to cut them. When I complained to her about it, she said, 'Well, we tried, but he was being fidgety.' It doesn't even look like she tried at all. I brought him back in for them to cut it down, but it still seems to be long and not very well groomed. I will not be bringing Patrick back in to get groomed at this location.
I want to speak to a higher-up about how we can make me happy and go about the situation. This is not the second time that I have had an issue with them grooming my dog. I see a whole bunch of other dogs that have great grooming jobs; why is it that Patrick never gets a good job?
This could be considered discrimination.

Booked an appt for 12:30p 12/20/24. I was there at 12:15.
Dog ready at 5:30p (Ive never waited that long). Got home and noticed pieces of cut hair in the pony tail. It turns out , this B word mandy g of sea world store 1395 butchered my dogs top knot. Nothing about what I asked for required anything to be cut off even looking at it, I dont understand how it was cut that way.
Called the store, I got hung up on when I asked for her saying she fd my dogs top knot up. Drove there, manger on duty acted clueless but gave a refund. Grooming manger never called. Corporate told me that I got my refund so what else do I want.
How is it acceptable for a groomer to do whatever they want and still have a job. Ive since closed my account with pet smart.

My dog has been attending PetSmart Doggie Day Camp for 2 years with no issues. Recently, he was placed in a group with an older, deaf dog that couldn't respond to normal dog signals.
A scuffle broke out, both dogs were injured, and staff admitted they don't know who started it. Despite his perfect history, my dog was banned from all-day play while the poor decision to mix dogs unsafely was never addressed.
I emailed corporate twice and was just sent back to the store with no accountability or resolution. After years of loyalty, I feel completely let down.

Price reduction for what? Monitor for 48 to 72 hours and if it gets worse take him to a vet. Do you trust a yes/no over the phone from a groomer?
