PetSmart - Charged Credit Card for Store Pickup, Items Not In Stock
I bought several items on line with option to pick up in store. Upon arrival I found out that two items were not available.
However in the on-line web form it clearly stated that they were available at the store. My credit/debit card was charge for all items regardless. This is fraudulent. They would not even credit my card while at the store.
"Too bad", I was told by snarky manager. They also would not provide rain check for discounted items, which is the only reason I bought on line. No discount for walk ins, only on line purchase. They refused to credit my card and not honor discounted price when items are restocked.
Classic bait and switch. Fraudulent company practices. Will be contacting States Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and Federal Consumer Protection Bureau. Shameful business practices.
I'll be shoping elsewhere from now on.
Piece of *** business. Can't trust them since they lie to customers

did you even check your bank statement for the total amount? petsmart in store pick ups require you to put your credit card info at check out, but you are not charged until you come in and pick up your item or items from the store.
if the item has an inventory discrepancy (meaning it says its in stock but is not actually in store) that item will be declined on the pick ticket and ultimately deducted from the total amount. also to be noted, the actual item HAS to be scanned in order for an employee to mark the item as "picked" off the shelf and charged for when you pick up. if they didn't actually have the item, the scanner can not add it to the order.
i see no way for you to be charged for it other than someone stole it out of the picked bin when it was waiting for you to pick it up. i do not work for petsmart, but i am familiar with the in store pick up process so i hope this comment isnt seen as biased.
Not true. I did an online order for in-store pickup and I was charged immediately.
