Took my dog into petsmart to be groomed. When I returned to get my dog his eyes were blood red from all the broken vessels in his eyes.

Petsmart was rude, didn't care but did tell me to take him to the vet. I did and vet said it was from them strangling him. He required medication drops and they said he was lucky he wasn't blind. Whats worse is I went today and the groomer who did it was still working there.

The manager didn't care , was then trying to say I was the cause and must have been something I did !!

No sorry , no making it right. They treat our pets like family ??

what a joke.

I had the same problem, but in my dog's case, it was caused by a vet/vet tech at Petsmart. I believe they kept the choke leash on my dog as they completed a procedure. This caused the whites of her eyes to be the color of blood and seemed to indicate strangulation.

Same thing happened to my dog at vets yesterday. They restrained him with nylon leash between door frame, next morning, bleeding in both eyes, real bad...taking him back today, vets office already denying responsibility...I was eye witness to the mishandleing

The same thing happened to my dog at petsmart. It wasn't intentional but they walked away from the table and he got hung.

Took him to the vet and he's "okay" but had permanent damage done to his throat. The eyes cleared up with drops.

Nobody strangled your dog. When dogs get stressed out it can happen.

Grooming is stressful. It is more prominent in some breeds more than others , shin tzus, bostin terriers, pekingese, etc.

Your dog isn't that special that someone would risk their livelihood by attempting to murder your dog.

Another ignorant owner who doesn't listen making up his own 'facts'. And if your vet did say that, find a new one, he's just as ignorant as you.

Wow. Just anothertypical pet parent who doesnt know what they are talking about.

The chances of a groomer strangling your dog are EXTREMELY UNLIKELY.

We do our job because we love animalsvandvlove grooming. You are an ignorant person.

They didn't purposely strangle him like you're making it seem. Dogs move around a lot when they are being groomed and that probably caused his eyes to become red.
